This piece isn’t finished. I’m not satisfied with Quill’s face (men are hard to draw!) and haven’t determined what weapon is in his left hand. But I like how it’s coming so far.

People are so hard to draw, you have done pretty well here, I just can’t draw faces…. and have been known to leave them blank and call a piece ‘finished’

Thank you š Yeah……I like faces, but they are a major struggle for me. And men’s faces are especially difficult. Art books don’t really spend time on young men–they focus on children, women, and the elderly. Which is great…but I also need to learn to draw young men.

I think he looks great…maybe square his chin a little. He should have a spear or crossbow ; )
