Welcome to the new year! Last year I taped the adage “If you want something to change do something different” to my laptop and started doing things differently. Now things are really picking up steam: I have three businesses I am working on this year. I know, right? I think I’m crazy, too. (If you’re curious, radio drama, real estate,  art and of course Zare’s story (the dearest to my heart).
So, I apologize now for any gaps between Zare’s episodes. I’m excited about all this new stuff, but I’m also an introvert and there are energy realities that are hard to get around!
I’ve found myself writing Han Solo’s quip “Never tell me the odds” on just about any paper that can’t run away from me.

Last July I got attend the Great Meadow International–a three star 2 day event. The riders from the US Equestrian Olympic Team, plus a couple other country team members, were using it as a prep for the Olympics. It was so much fun to watch riders and horses that good compete.
I dragged Zorro’s DSLR around all weekend and have a few hundred pictures, as you can imagine. I’m rather proud of myself for picking just a few favorites. They are impressions, hoping to capture the speed, guts, and precision of the most impressive team sport there is (no, really, how many other teams contain a 1000 lb beast of prey who doesn’t speak the same language?).

It’s December! Zare is taking a break for the month of December, time to soak in the light and joy of Christmas celebrations.

We were pretty close to having a Zare episode today. I wrote for hours yesterday–and still didn’t get one finished. But I got a lot of things worked out. So. That’s good. Bodes well for next week!
